Winter wheatproduction is estimated at 37.0 million bushels, up 41% from last year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The area harvested for grain totaled 880,000 acres, up 7% from 2022. Planted acreage totaled 1.13 million, up 15% from a year earlier. The yield is 42.0 bushels per acre, up 10.0 bushels from last year.

Oatproductionis estimated at 1.27million bushels, up 39% from 2022. Area harvested for grain, at 24,000 acres, is up 33% from last year. Planted acreage totaled 155,000, up 24% from a year earlier. Average yield is 53.0 bushels per acre, up 2.0 bushels from 2022.
